BIGEXPORT Cookie Policy

This Policy explains the cookies and other browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) used on https://www.bigexport.net. It forms part of the Privacy Policy.

• BIGEXPORT uses Google Analytics (analytics cookies) only if you explicitly allow it. No advertising, marketing or social media tracking cookies are used.
• Apart from Google Analytics with your consent, no third-party tracking scripts are loaded. Fonts are served from BIGEXPORT's own servers.
• The storage used is needed to keep you signed in, to remember your cookie choice and to run features you use.

Used for signing in, keeping the session secure, verifying email addresses and storing your cookie choice. The Platform cannot work properly without it, so it cannot be switched off in the cookie settings.

Your sign-in session is stored in your browser's localStorage by our authentication service. If you do not select "keep me signed in", a marker in sessionStorage ends the session when the browser is closed.

Your cookie choice is stored for 12 months, after which you are asked again. The banner offers two actions: customise preferences and accept all. "Accept all" also allows analytics. In the preferences panel, optional categories (preferences and analytics) are off by default; you can leave them off and save to continue with necessary cookies only. Necessary cookies are always active and cannot be disabled. Closing the banner does not give consent. You can reopen the panel at any time to give or withdraw consent; withdrawal takes effect immediately for future visits and page views.

When you choose a language or a light or dark theme, the choice is stored in your browser so that the site is shown the way you chose. It is used for no other purpose and is created only when you make the choice.

If you use BIGEXPORT AI without signing in, a random key is stored in your browser so that your conversation can continue. Only a hashed form of this key is stored on our servers. The key is created only when you start using BIGEXPORT AI, because the feature cannot work without it.

• sb-…-auth-token (localStorage, necessary): sign-in session; until you sign out or the session expires.
• Session marker (sessionStorage, necessary): ends the session when the browser closes if "keep me signed in" is off; until the browser is closed.
• bigexport.auth.remember (localStorage, necessary): stores the "keep me signed in" choice; until changed or cleared.
• bigexport.auth.pending-email (localStorage, necessary): continues email verification; until verified.
• bigexport.cookie-consent (localStorage, necessary): stores your cookie choice; 12 months.
• bigexport.locale (localStorage, functional): remembers the language you chose; until cleared.
• bigexport.theme (localStorage, functional): remembers the light or dark theme; until cleared.
• bigexport.ai.guest (localStorage, necessary for guest AI use): links guest AI conversations; until cleared.
• AI panel and unfinished request draft keys (localStorage, functional): restore an open AI panel or an unfinished request; until completed or cleared.
• Blog and help-centre vote keys (localStorage, functional): prevent double voting; until cleared.
• Step hand-off keys (sessionStorage, functional): carry data between steps of sign-up, invitations and AI; until the tab is closed.
• sidebar_state (cookie, functional): remembers whether the account sidebar is open; 7 days.
• _ga, _ga_<ID> (cookie, analytics, Google Analytics; only with your consent): distinguish visits and sessions; up to 2 years.

If you allow the "Analytics and performance" category, BIGEXPORT uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to count visits and page views and understand how the public website is used. Analytics is off until you give explicit consent. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled.

Only public website pages are measured. Account, administration, AI conversation, invitation, sign-in and buying request pages are not measured, and URL parameters, personal data and buying request content are not sent to Google. Google may process technical data such as an online identifier, the visited page, device and browser information and an approximate location derived from the IP address, and may transfer it outside your country under its own safeguards.

Pages are delivered by our hosting provider, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Manage cookie preferences" button on this page, or by deleting site data in your browser settings. Deleting the sign-in data will sign you out.

We may update this Policy. If BIGEXPORT starts using new categories of cookies, this Policy and the cookie banner will be updated before they are used.
